Back By Unpopular Demand!

Did you know that the role of Marty McFly, immortalized by Michael J. Fox in the Back To The Future trilogy, was originally offered to Eric Stoltz?

Or that on The Cosby Show, the Huxtables' oldest daughter Sondra and her husband Elvin named their twins Nelson and Winnie, after Nelson and Winnie Mandela?

How about that Liz Phair's critically acclaimed debut album "Exile in Guyville" was created as a song-by-song response to The Rolling Stones' classic "Exile on Main Street"?

--------------------

These are the types of "facts" that can come in handy for the teams competing on VH1 in The World Series of Pop Culture. Teams of 3 match wits in a variety of entertainment-related categories to see just who has the greatest wealth of useless knowledge. Had I been less lazy, I would have auditioned for it myself. Alas, I am left to watch others seek the fame and glory that should be mine.

So, it makes sense that the airing of this game show should inspire the resurrection of this meager website, like Tupac coming back from the dead, a la Makaveli and his 7-Day Theory. Hell, he's even bigger dead than he was when alive. Let's just hope this site has that sort of success in its second iteration.

Cheers.

The Work Series has become my favorite show this summer... it has made me pissed though that we don't have a team, because we could take some of these bitches down.

Q: In Eddie Murphy's 1988 film, Coming to America, who utters the following quote: "If lovin' the lord is wrong, I don't want to be right."
